Most foreigners visiting Belarus require a visa (exceptions are: citizens from CIS states, Serbia, Macedonia). Visas to entrance to Belarus are being issued by Diplomatic Representative Offices and Consular Departments of the Republic of Belarus abroad. The web site of Belarusian Representative Office in your country can be found here.

To obtain an entry visa, a foreign citizen should submit the following documents to a visa issuing authority:

  1. a duly completed visa application form;
  2. a photograph;
  3. a foreign travel document (passport);
  4. a confirmation of the consular fee paid;
  5. visa support documents confirming the purpose and conditions of the visit.

For a short-term visa (type C) for the purpose of:

  • tourism - visa support documents can include just an accomodation booking confirmation received from a hotel by facsimile or other communication channels, for a period of the documented reservation, but not more than for 10 days.

The consular fee for single-entry visas for citizens of most EU countries are € 60, for citizens of Latvia, Lithuania, Poland – € 25, for Japan citizens are free.

The details of the procedure for obtaining visas to enter the Republic of Belarus can be found on the web site of Belarusian Representative Office in your country or here.

What if there is not the Belarusian Embassy in my country?

For foreigners entering Belarus from a country without Belarusian representative office (Sweden, Norway, Spain et al. [see list]) there is the consular office at the National Airport in Minsk. So it is possible to get the visa on arrival at the airport (only for foreigners from a country without Belarusian representative office).

In this case visa support documents must be submitted by the inviting company in original and in advance. If you need our assistance we are ready to execute and deliver an application to the consular office at the airport. Please note that not later than 3 business days before expected date of arrival, documents should be submitted to the consular office in the National Airport.
